In case you haven't caught on, my name is Elyse Kufeldt. I'm a 19 year old from the Seattle area. A few short months ago, I was planning on going to Irkutsk, Russia for language immersion followed by the pursuit of my degrees in Moscow or St. Petersburg. But things can change quickly. There's a Russian proverb that goes, "Don't ruin a good thing by looking for something even better." I've got a lot going for me here in Washington right now. It seems foolish to chase after something so uncertain when all I really need is right here in front of me.
