This looks to be a great series. It appears our thoughts on this matter are fairly congruent. I can't wait to hear them!

The thing that I suppose is important to note is that the people who are most interested are those who knew me through Church when I was a Christian, and other Christians that I don't personally know. There's a general confusion over how someone who was a Christian could somehow stop believing.

But while I'm writing this to address those people, I'm also writing it for me to re-examine what I believe and why a little more. I think it's important to keep that inner dialogue going, or else you become stagnant, which is what I felt like near the end of my time as a Christian. Stagnancy and complacency, more than anything else, frightens me.

Interesting. I have often been asked what I am, as in what religion or faith do I profess to, and I'd wonder why a "I believe in the goodness of man, the kindness of strangers" would not suffice for most folks. Maybe it's not just about us learning about ourselves but them learning about us and themselves too.

Here's to sharing and understanding. :)
