Well. It took about a dozen different design prototypes/mock-ups over the last month before I landed on this design. I wanted something simple, something elegant and something that was, above all, focused on clean typography. I think that this design accomplishes all of those goals.

Having the categories that I did previously made it so that I was pigeonholing myself too much into just talking about my emotions regarding Irkutsk. And while that is a necessary and important discussion, I don’t want the blog to be limited to it. So I now have more broad categories.
